Ilkka Kaakinen Appointed as New CEO

Leadership Change at Workspace

New winds are blowing at Workspace this autumn. Sini Norta has decided to step down from her role as CEO and Ilkka Kaakinen will take over as the new CEO on October 1, 2025.

“I’ve had the privilege of spending an incredible seven years with Workspace, filled with bold experiments and the development of new ways of working. Together with the team, we have survived a very challenging market situation, and the company now stands on its own, ready for growth. I’m especially grateful for our amazing team and clients. It’s been a privilege to work with people who always put the customer first and ensure we give our very best. I leave the role with a grateful heart and will continue supporting Workspace as one of its owners,” says Sini Norta.

Ilkka joins Workspace from Noli Studios, where he served as Chief Commercial Officer. Noli Studios is part of the real estate investment and development company Nrep, which has given Ilkka strong experience in the real estate industry, as well as in leading sales and marketing. This expertise will support Workspace’s next phase of development, with a focus on strong growth and broader market impact.

“I’m excited to continue the journey from here. Workspace is already a strong brand in the market and known as a leading player in the industry in Finland. Through bold experimentation, research and customer-centricity, the company has built a solid foundation for the next phase. I’m looking forward to developing the business further together and leading the company into its next stage of growth,” says Ilkka Kaakinen, the new CEO of Workspace.

Workspace warmly thanks Sini for her significant contribution and leadership and welcomes Ilkka Kaakinen as he begins building the next chapter in Workspace’s story.
