With the objective of more efficient utilisation of space, the Finnish Academy decided to move to new premises. The old office space was equivalent to 40 m² per person. In addition, the old premises didn’t communicate the desired image.
We divided the premises into a semi-public and a private zone. The semi-public zone gives customers the image of an active and modern scientific organisation. For the private zone, we designed a working environment that enhances the internal flow of information, inter-departmental cooperation, and knowledge sharing. In the heart of the office is a meeting place and library for employees. The café has a fantastic view of the city, which we used to pick certain colours for the interior design.
The project was carried out in collaboration with Senate Properties.
